Hello New Hope!
wanted to write you and let you know what our plans will be for our first in
person service since March 8th! So many times during this pandemic I
have felt the words of Paul to Timothy are so appropriate when he writes in 2
Timothy 1:3-4, “I thank God, whom I
serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I
constantly remember you in my prayers. Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that
I may be
filled with joy.”
Our world is
changing fast these days, and so we want to try a test run through the month of
July to see what changes we can make so that everyone can safely attend
services. Starting July 5th, we will have two in- person services
here at New Hope at 9:00a.m. and 10:45a.m. However, if you see the changes
we are making and don’t quite feel comfortable returning yet – that’s ok! We will
still be putting our services out each week at 9:30a.m. on our Facebook page. We
would love for to join us in person, or virtually, whichever is most
comfortable for you!
that being said, here is a list of precautions that we will be taking. As a
board, we developed these in conjunction with the advice of the CDC, CDPHE, as
well as other state and local recommendations.
- All families will be seated at least 6 feet
away from other families.
- Please remain in your car until 5 minutes
before the service starts and line up 6ft apart to be let in.
- Only one person at a time in each bathroom.
- Masks will be required.
- Everyone entering will be asked to use hand
- No food/drink to be served (so bring your own
donuts and coffee to enjoy)!
- No handouts to be given (no Bibles in the
chairs – but you can take and keep one)!
- All our awesome kids will be in the regular
service with parents/grandparents.
is what we need from all of you! First, we will be sending out text and email
communication the week of the June 28th and ask you to sign up for our
9:00am service or our 10:45am service. If you don’t receive our texts or our
emails, feel free to just call the office and let us know which service works
best for you – we’ll make sure we have enough room that way!
will also need some help in a few different areas, as we return. We’ll need to
make sure that we have plenty of greeters at the doors to help people find
their seats, and maybe rearrange some chairs if need be. We also need a few
people that are willing to stay and help clean up after each service, primarily
to wipe down all of the surfaces with disinfectant. Finally, because we are
moving to two services each weekend for July, we will need more help on our
sound team. If you can help with any of these, please reach out to Chris or myself
here at the office (303-690-0143).
Can’t wait to see you on July 5th! Pastor Jeff
